Memorial Day 2017
Very good turn out this past Memorial day, the next one takes place on Labor Day in September. There were over 10 trips made in the Voyager canoes, paddling people from the water front upstream and back. We had those who had never been on any kind of boat and had never seen our city from the water. It was great to talk to so many different kinds of people and kids at for this event. It was tiresome paddling in the bough, and I think my stern was tired as well, but I still felt so grateful at the end of the day, that I could so something, with pure intentions, to give back to our city.
It was personally, my first time every attending (and I grew up in Louisville).
I recommend checking out the next event, free to the public, on Labor day 2017. No reservations required to paddle on the voyagers, and this event is also for those who have their own canoes/kayaks/SUPs to come out and participate.
